Grand Traverse Physical Therapy Celebrates 5th Anniversary Steady Growth Prompts Expansion of Space and Staff Traverse City, October 8, 2007 - This summer, Grand Traverse Physical Therapy will celebrate its 5th anniversary. Every since its founding in June 2002 by husband-and-wife team Penny and Randy Nelson, the practice has experienced steady growth. Penny, an athletic trainer and massage therapist, and Randy, a certified physical therapist, recently hired Jacqueline Geroux as office manager, and plans are underway to further increase both staffing and space to better accommodate physician referrals and patient demand. The Nelsons also want to develop additional programs to be able to offer the newest and most effective services as an alternative to conventional therapy. "We started our practice with the aim of treating people the way we ourselves would want to be treated," says Penny. "Over the years, our clients have repeatedly confirmed that they appreciate the one-on-one caring we provide and have referred their family and friends to us. We also offer specialized techniques and experience that our competitors do not have." Milestones for GTPT over the years have included becoming a provider for BCBS, Medicare and Priority insurances.
